PETERSON Anniversary

GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY - Warren and Dorothy Peterson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, August 6th, 2004.

Mr. Peterson married the former Dorothy Knauer on August 6, 1954 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Newport, Kentucky.

The couple, who have lived in the Highland Heights area since 1958, have two children; Keith Lawrence of Independence, Kentucky and Christopher Alan of Hebron, Kentucky.

They also have six grandchildren; Amanda, Andrea, Jake, Timothy, Stephen and Rebecca.

Mr. Peterson retired from the Fischer's Special in 1992 after 37 years of employment.

Mrs. Peterson is a homemaker and retired from Lazarus department store in 1988 after 14 years of employment.

(Obituary of Warren Peterson: "Warren E. Peterson, 78, Highland Heights, died June 7, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Fort Thomas. He was a production control manager and purchasing agent with Fischer Special Manufacturing Company in Cold Spring, a Navy veteran, founding president of Tri-State Bleeding Disorder Foundation, past president and vice-president of Campbell County Band/Choral Association, appointed by Kentucky Gov. Louie B. Nunn to serve on the Campbell County Draft Board during the Vietnam War; past secretary and treasurer of the Campbell County Republican Executive Committee, author of "Controlled Capitalism" published in 2004 and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Newport, serving as past vice-president and member on several church boards. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy M. Peterson; sons, Keith Peterson of Independence and Christopher Peterson of Hebron; sisters, Lorna Richmond of Hinton, W.Va., Shirley Sowle of Dade City, Fla. and six grandchildren. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate. Dobbling Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home in Fort Thomas handled the arrangements. She is survived by 2 Sons, Keith (Vicki) Peterson and Chris (Kathy) Peterson. 2 Brothers, James & Donald Knauer. 6 Grandchildren. Visitation 4 to 7 pm Friday, Jan. 28 at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Ft. Thomas. Services 10 am Saturday, Jan. 29 at St. Johns United Church of Christ in Newport. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate. Memorials to St. John's United Church of Christ General Fund or Music Fund, 415 Park Ave,. Newport, KY 41071.")
