EVANS - William and Virginia
William Benjamin Evans II and Virginia Ann Blersch Evans celebrated fifty years of marriage on their anniversary, February 20, 2004.
They traveled to Charleston, South Carolina where they joined their four children who flew in from New Hampshire, Connecticut and Ohio to be with them on this happy occasion.
The family enjoyed the weekend together visiting the sites of picturesque historic Charleston.
A summer gathering is also planned where the entire family, including the couple's 12 grandchildren, will celebrate at an outdoor party in Cincinnati.
Ben and Ginny were married at the Pleasant Ridge Presbyterian Church in a morning ceremony attended by family and friends of the couple and their parents.
During their marriage they lived on the west and east coasts and many of the states in between.
They traveled extensively, circumnavigating the globe in 1960.
After earning an engineering degree from the University of Cincinnati,
Ben enjoyed a long career in the plastics industry.
Ginny was awarded the first Bachelor of Fine Arts at River College and produced many fine paintings.
The couple spend vacation time at their homes in the British Virgin Islands.
They are happy to be in Cincinnati enjoying their retirement years.
