Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd (Carol Conrad) Farley, 1669 Lorelei Drive, Fayetteville, Ohio, formerly of Milford and Batavia, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception and dinner on Sunday, April 18, 2004 at the Lake Lorelei Club House.
The event will be hosted by their daughters.
The Farleys were married January 30, 1954 in Fairborn, Ohio, and are the parents of two children, Cindy Farley, Yellow Springs, and Becky (Farley) Doherty, Cold Spring, Kentucky.
They have two grandchildren, Kyle and Katy McEvoy, Yellow Springs.
Mr. Farley is retired from Mead Corporation and Mrs. Farley is retired from Molloy Roofing Company.
They spend the winter months in North Port, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Farley and Ocle Emma George; and sister, Sherry Morehouse. He is survived by wife, Carol Conrad; daughters, Cindy Farley and Becky (Mike) Doherty; brother, Gary (Carolyn) Spung; sister, Shirley (Don) Veyon; and grandchildren, Kyle and Katy McEvoy. (Another Obituary of Lloyd Farley: "FAYETTEVILLE — Lloyd M. Farley, 78, of Fayetteville, died unexpectedly in his winter home in North Port, Fla., Jan. 5, 2007. He was born at home in Haydenville to Wayne and Ode Farley on May 2, 1928. He served in the United States Army from 1950 to 1952. He earned a certificate in tool and die design at the Acme School of Die Design of Dayton in 1955. He worked as a packaging engineer for Mead Corporation for years and later developed an independent business, Possum Hollow Consultants, Inc. He was an active member of the Milford Kiwanas and served as president during the early 1970s. He was commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel in 1977. He had a special talent and love for music and played a number of stringed instrument, including guitar, mandolin, dulcimer and banjo. He was a member of a country music band called the Rainbow Valley Gang in his youth and had a live radio program on stations in Cambridge and Zanesville, where he played, sang and performed comedy routines. He was inducted into the Zanesville Country Music Hall of Fame in 1989. He enjoyed camping and traveling with his friends and family. He took up wood carving in his later years and created a number of unique pieces, He became fascinated by genealogy and traced his family history back to the 1700s. He married the love of his life, Carol nee Conrad of Cynthiana, Ky., in 1954. In 2004, he celebrated 50 years of marriage on a cruise with his wife, his children and their spouses and his grandchildren. He was the beloved husband of Carol Farley, dear father to Cindy Farley of Yellow Springs, and Becky (Mike) Doherty of Cold Spring, Ky., and devoted grandfather to Kyle and Katy McEvoy. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley (Don) Veyon of Roseville; his brother, Garey (Carolyn) Spung of Philo; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sherry Morehouse. A gathering of family and friends was held Tuesday, Jan. 9, at Evans Funeral Home, Milford. The funeral service was held Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, with Pastor Joe Graham officiating. Pallbearers included Kyle McEvoy, Mark Faulkner, Don Fahmbach, Mike Doherty, Don Veyon, and Bob Rantanen. Burial was in Green-lawn Cemetery, Milford. A luncheon celebrating the life of Lloyd M. Farley was served following the funeral at the Lake Lorelei Clubhouse in Fayetteville.
