Dougherty - Scialabba
Katrah Dougherty and Jonathan Scialabba, both of Long Island, N.Y., were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Dec. 20 at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. The Rev. Harry Bielewicz officiated. A reception followed at the Four Points by Sheraton in Cranberry Township.
The bride is the daughter of Kathleen Dougherty of Butler and the late Gary Dougherty. Parents of the bridegroom are Donald and Judith Scialabba of Butler.
The maid of honor was Shana Douthett of Butler. Bridesmaids included Cynthia Dougherty of Carnegie, Melissa Cook and Kimberly Schontz of Butler, Cheryle Wilson of Southgate, Mich., and Alyson McQuillan of Gainsville, Fla.
Performing the duties of best man was Kevin Rimer of Butler. Groomsmen included Chad Dougherty of Carnegie, John Dougherty and Brad Steele, both of Butler, Jonathan Beall of Denver and A.J. McQuillan of Gainsville.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Butler High School and received a bachelor of science degree in speech language pathology in 2002 from Long Island University. She is pursuing a master’s degree in speech language pathology while working at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York City.
The bridegroom graduated in 1995 from BHS, in 1999 from Gannon University and in 2001 from the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre. He is an actor in New York City.
Following a honeymoon trip to Florida, the couple is making their home on Long Island.
