TUSSEY - ELSIE & LIGE - Anniversary
Elsie (Webb) and Lige Tussey of Morrow, Ohio celebrated their 60th anniversary on October 23, 2003 by attending their grandson's wedding in Wisconsin, followed by a ten-day trip to the National Parks of Southern Utah with their daughter and son-in-law.
Married in Paris, Kentucky during World War II, Lige immediately left for two years to serve his country in France, while Elsie worked in the office at Miami University.
They moved to Ohio in 1959.
They have one daughter, Carol Lang of West Chester, son-in-law Loren Schumacher, granddaughter Jericha Bair and her husband Matt of Norwood, grandson Phil Lang and his wife Shannon of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and three great grandchildren.
Both Lige and Elsie are active members of their VFW.

(Obituary of Lige Tussey: "Lige Tussey - September 18, 1922 - November 26, 2005 - TUSSEY, Lige, 83 of Morrow, OH, died Saturday, November 26th at his residence. Born September 18, 1922 in Richmond, KY to Elijah and Patsy (nee: Mullins) Tussey, Sr., he was World War II veteran, serving as a corporal in the US Army, and was an honorary member of the US Marines. He retired in 1983, as a park inspector for the Ohio Department of Transportation, was a member of the Southwest Ohio memorial Team, the Morrow VFW and the Masonic Lodge. He loved the outdoors, had many interests and was well loved by his family. Preceded in death by his parents, 12 brothers and sisters, survivors include his wife of 62 years, Elsie (nee: Webb) Tussey, a daughter Carol Lang-Schumacher (Loren) of West Chester, two grandchildren Jericha Bair (Matt) and Phil Lang (Shannon), three grandchildren Annika Bair, Marzyna and Stephen Hall. Visitation was held Thursday, December 1st from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM followed by funeral services at 12:00 PM, all at the Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home. (Obituary of Elsie Tussey: "TUSSEY, Elsie Mae (nee: Webb) 89, of Morrow, OH died Wednesday May 14, 2014. Born April 30, 1925 in Estill County, KY to Gilbert and Mayme Dean (nee: Lutes) Webb. She married her husband, Lige in 1943, two months before he went overseas for two years during WWII. Upon his return, they farmed in Paris, KY until 1959, when they moved to Morrow, OH. Elsie had a long career as a cashier, first at Super Value and then at Becker Drug Store in Morrow. They spent many happy times camping and boating with friends and retired in 1982. They purchased a winter home in Melbourne Beach, FL which they enjoyed for 18 years. While she enjoyed many aspects of life, Elsie's true passion was her family. She was a born care giver and adored her family, especially doting on her two great granddaughters. She will be missed by all who loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lige Tussey and one brother, Chester Webb. Survivors include one daughter, Carol Lang and son in law, Loren Schumacher of Liberty Township, OH, granddaughter, Jericha Bair (Matt) of Norwood, grandson, Phil Lang of Hilton Head, SC, two great-granddaughters, Annika and Maya Bair and one sister, Margaret King of Paris, KY.
