45th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Bill and Barbara Ford met in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where both attended East High School.
After graduating from college, the couple married in Jacksonville, Florida on January 3, 1959.
The Fords initially resided in Green Bay, where Bill began a long career with Procter & Gamble.
In 1963, Bill and Barbara moved their family to Cincinnati.
Bill remained at P & G until his retirement, and Barbara taught for many years at Finneytown High School, before retiring with Bill.
Since retiring, the Fords spend most of their time in Cincinnati or Michigan's Upper Peninsula, when not visiting with their sons' families in Cincinnati or Philadelphia.
Bill and Barbara have four grandchildren.

(Obituary of Bill Ford: "FORD, William Wallace Ford, Jr. departed this world to join his beloved wife, Barbara, in Heaven, on November 19, 2014. William was the loving father of William W. (Jill) Ford, III and Stephen D. (Karen) Ford. He was the proud and loving grandfather of Nicole, Kathryn, Courtney, and Jacob Ford. William was a dear brother of Christopher (Janet) Ford and Cynthia Beutel (deceased), and brother-in-law of Margaret (James) Pennington and David (Jeanette) Zimmerman. William was born, grew up, and began his career in Green Bay, Wisconsin, before spending much of his life in Cincinnati, Ohio and then retiring with Barbara to the lake in Dollar Bay, Michigan. William graduated in 1958 from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, and began a fulfilling 35-year career with Procter & Gamble. He and Barbara married in Florida in 1959, moved their family from Green Bay to Cincinnati in 1963, and spent more than 54 wonderful years together before Barbara was received by her Lord in 2013. William's love for Barbara was infinite, and set an example for generations to emulate. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be welcomed by The Ronald McDonald House in Cincinnati or Camp Joy in Clarksville, OH.")
(Obituary of Barbara Ford: "FORD, Barbara Lou (Zimmerman) Ford passed away peacefully on August 9, 2013. Barbara was the beloved wife of William W. Ford, Jr. and the loving mother of William W. (Jill) Ford, III and Stephen David (Karen) Ford. She was the proud and loving grandmother of Nicole, Kathryn, Courtney, and Jacob Ford. She was also the dear sister of Margaret (James) Pennington and David (Jeanette) Zimmerman, and the sister-in-law of Cynthia (Ford) Beutel (deceased) and Christopher (Janet) Ford. Born in Cedar Rapids, IA, Barbara spent most of her life in Green Bay, WI and Cincinnati, OH, retiring to "the lake" in Dollar Bay, MI. She did her undergraduate study at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, where she was a member of Gamma Sigma sorority, and received a degree in Medical Technology from Northwestern University Hospital, Chicago, IL. She returned to Green Bay in 1958, where she became the manager of the Bellin Hospital Laboratory. Barbara was married in Florida to William W. Ford, Jr. in 1959. They lived in Green Bay for four years, where both of their sons were born, moving to Cincinnati in 1963. She taught in the Finneytown school system for 20 years. Barbara and William are members of Forest Chapel United Methodist Church in Cincinnati. She was a member of the Wednesday Bible Study and Ruth Circle at Grace United Methodist Church, Houghton, MI. Arrangements are being finalized for a memorial service to be held in Michigan.
