Ruth (Kortemeier) of Downers Grove, IL and John of Fond du Lac, WI were married at the First Presbyterian Church of Downers Grove, IL on December 19, 1953.
John, a chemical engineer, retired from Clow Corporation Ruth retired from McAlpins, and also worked as a teacher and a homemaker.
Their children are Rheta Roeber and her husband Paul Malchodi of Acton, MA and Martha Roeber Bennett and her husband, Scott of Florence, KY.
They have four grandchildren - Walter, Thomas, Louisa, and Jacob.
