Mr. and Mrs. James E. (Butch) Miller of Hannibal observed their 50th wedding anniversary with a celebration hosted by their children on June 27, 2004, at Fiddlestiks, with 21 family members attending.
Shirley D. Campfield and James E. Miller were united in marriage on June 6, 1954, at the home of the bride and her parents.
William (Bill) Miller, brother of the bridegroom, officiated.
Attendants were Mary Short and Lawrence Taliaferro.
Mrs. Miller is the daughter of the late Ernest and Virgie Campfield.
Mr. Miller is the son of the late Loren and Fern Miller.
They are the parents of five children, Michael Miller, Brian Miller and Wendi Frantz, all of Hannibal, Vicki McLain of St. Robert and Lauri Britt of New London. They have 12 grandchildren.
Mr. Miller retired in 1992 from American Cyanamid in Palmyra.
Mrs. Miller retired in 1990 from Willow Care Center in Hannibal.
They are charter members of Solid Rock Baptist Church and enjoy yard work, travel and collecting Hot Wheels cars.
