KOHMESCHER Anniversary
Mr. & Mrs. Jerome (Jerry) Kohmescher privately celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with many of their children and grandchildren at The Heritage Club on January 17th.
Ruth (Von Holle) & Jerry were born and raised in Cincinnati in the Norwood area and were high school sweethearts from Regina and Purcell High Schools, respectively.
They were married on January 15, 1944 in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Norwood (now Holy Trinity).
Jerry served as a lieutenant in the Air Force in World War II.
After the war he worked his way into the homebuilding business, eventually becoming president and partner of Smith-Kettler Builders and KSK development.
Ruth was a professional dancer and then a homemaker and amateur artist.
The Kohmeschers are long-standing members of Belwood Country Club and All Saints Church (Kenwood).
The couple has six children, Bonnie Strunk (John) of Liberty Twp; Greg Kohmescher (Anne) of Santa Cruz, C A; Judy Berris (Bruce) of Baton Rouge, LA; Carol Kohmescher of Maineville; Paul Kohmescher (Barb) of Montgomery; and Diane Vorbroker (Rob) of Mason.
They are blessed with 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

(Obituary of Jerome Kohmescher: "KOHMESCHER, Jerome “Jerry” J., 92, 1923-2015, passed away on October 7th to join his bride of 66 years, Ruth who preceded him in 2010. He was a veteran of WWII, as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army Air Corps. Survivors include Bonnie (John) Strunk, Greg (Anne) Kohmescher, Judy Berris, Carol Kohmescher, Diane (Rob) Vorbroker, and the late Paul (Barb) Kohmescher, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was a prominent home builder for 40 years in the Cincinnati area. He was an active member and golf champion of Belwood Country Club and Beachview Country Club in Sanibel Island, FL. He will be missed. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th from 9:30AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30AM at All Saints Catholic Church, 8939 Montgomery Rd. (45236).
