Michele Montag and Jeffrey Colvard, both from Presto, were united in marriage at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 27, 2001 at Heinz Memorial Chapel in Pittsburgh.
The Rev. H. Pat Albright officiated.
A reception followed at the Ramada Plaza Suites in Pittsburgh.
The bride is the daughter of Charles and Patricia Montag of Butler.
Parents of the bridegroom are Mary Colvard of Cobleskill, N.Y.; and Tom Colvard of Bainbridge, N.Y.
The matron of honor was Shelly Johnston of Ambler.
Bridesmaids were Sherry Montag, Christina Montag and Amy Maggs, all of Butler.
Serving the bridegroom as best man was Matthew Colvard of Boston.
Ushers were Craig Colvard of Tempe, Ariz.; and Michael Montag and Matthew Montag, both of Butler.
The bride is a 1992 graduate of Butler High School.
She earned a bachelor of arts degree in 1995 from the University of Pittsburgh and a Ph.D. in 2001 from Binghamton University, N.Y.
She is the assistant dean of academic affairs at Chatham College in Pittsburgh.
The bridegroom is a 1987 graduate of Sidney High School, Sidney, N.Y.
He earned a bachelor of arts degree in 1991 from Dartmouth College and a Ph.D. in 1999 from Binghamton University. He works for Oracle.
The couple honeymooned in Toronto and lives in Presto.
