The bride-elect is the daughter of Barbara and Dr. Ronald Solomon of Symmes Township, Ohio.
She is the granddaughter of Herbert Solomon of Columbus, Ohio and the late Evelyn Solomon, and Evelyn Ross of Dayton and the late Perry Ross.
She is a graduate of Sycamore High School and Ohio University and received her bachelor's degree in education from Ohio University in 2001.
The future groom is the son of Bobbi and Richard A. Kirtland of Symmes Township.
He is the grandson of Eloise and Elsworth Kirtland of Loveland, Ohio and Leonora Thayer of Ann Arbor, Michigan and the late Stanley Thayer.
A graduate of Sycamore High School, he received a bachelor's degree in operations management from Miami University in 2001.
The couple is planning a June 2003 wedding.
