CARROLL Anniversary
Charles and Myriam Carroll from Lauderdale-By-The Sea, Florida, celebrated their second wedding anniversary on December 16th, 2002.
The couple, both of whom were widowed, have 11 children, 26 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
They were introduced by the mother of Carroll's daughter-in-law in October 2000 and married three months later.
The couple are in the process of buildinga home in the Stonebridge Development in Loveland.
Baroness Myriam de Roodenbeke Carroll, 80, youngest daughter of Count Juan t'Kint de Roodenbeke and Countess Solange de Beauffort de Roodenbeke was born and raised in the 700 year old Caslte Oiidonk near Gent, Belgium.
The Baroness is a direct decedent of four Spanish Kings and three French Kings and has traveled throughout Europe, Africa and the Americas.
She lived in Portugal from 1960 to 1980 and frequently visited the Ft. Lauderdale area for the past 20 years.
Major Charles W. Carroll, 76, who hails from Brooklyn, New York, served in the United States Marine Corps from 1942 until 1964.
He is a former resident of Wyoming. After his retirement, he entered public education as a second career and rose to the position of Assistant Superintendent with the Cincinnati City Public Schools. Major Carroll completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland in 1960 and graduate studies at the University of Cincinnati where he received the degrees of EdM, MBA and PhD in 1970, 1972 and 1974, respectively. Three of his children live in the greater Cincinnati area.
