Charles and Bernadine Kessinger celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 11, 2003.
They were married in St. Louis, Missouri by her father, Rev. Hugh E. Shults.
Charles is a Navy veteran of the Korean War and served aboard the USS Salisbury Sound (AV-13) and the USS Oriskany (CVA-34) and retired from the Cincinnati Enquirer Production Department.
Bernadine is a retired teacher/administrator for the Children's Services Division of the Hamilton County Board of Mental Retardation/Developmental Disabilities.
They have three children: Cheryl Ann, Charles Jr., and Charmaine and two grandchildren, Rachel and Danielle.
They have resided in Cincinnati for 45 years.
