CLARENCE AND PATRICIA POPP CELEBRATED THEIR 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY ON DEC. 28, 2007.
Clarence A. and Patricia M. Popp of Traverse City celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Dec. 28 with their children and their families during a Caribbean cruise aboard the Mariner of the Seas.
Clarence Popp and the former Patricia Marie Kalchik were married on Dec. 28, 1957 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Gills Pier.
The Rev. Frederick J. Voss celebrated the Nuptial Mass.
Mr. Popp is a retired carpenter and worked in the construction industry for 46 years, including 33 as a supervisor for Comstock Construction in Traverse City.
Mrs. Popp was both a homemaker, raising five children, and an elementary school teacher for Traverse City Area Public Schools for 17 years.
The couple’s children are Michael (Cornelia) Popp of Traverse City, Theresa (Steven) Dunn of Boise, Idaho, Dave (Shelley) Popp of Leelanau County, Timothy (Elizabeth) Popp of Lawton, and Steven Popp of Ann Arbor.
They also have six grandchildren.
