Cherida Kay Klara and David Jay Thrasher, both of Butler, exchanged wedding vows at 3:30 p.m. May 26, 2001 at North Main Street Church of God in Butler.
The Rev. David West officiated.
A reception followed at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
The bride is the daughter of Stanley B. and W. Joyce Klara of Butler.
Parents of the bridegroom are Tom and Connie Thrasher of Fort Charlotte, Fla.
The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Joyce Greene of Freeport.
Bridesmaids were Sandy Divers of North Washington; Mary Klara of Butler; Michelle Troso of Lilburn, Ga.; Theresa Sheppeck-Fulmer of Slippery Rock; the bridegroom’s sister, Julie Summers of Fayetteville, N.C.; and Emylie Greene of Freeport.
Shawna Klara of Butler was the flower girl.
Ariel Summers of Fayetteville placed a rose on the Bible in memory of the bridegroom’s mother.
Serving his brother as best man was Kent Thrasher of Aptos, Calif.
Ushers were Tom Spitz of Markleville; the bride’s brother, Bernard Klara, and Tim Huff and Daryl Smith, all of Butler; Jordan Summers of Fayetteville; and Robert Greene of Freeport.
The ring bearer was Alex Klara of Butler.
The bride is a 1978 graduate of Butler High School and a 1983 graduate of Warner Southern College in Lake Wales, Fla.
She works for PARC and Complete Care in Butler.
The bridegroom is a 1977 graduate of South Dade High School and a 1983 graduate of Warner Southern College.
Following a wedding trip to Gettysburg, Williamsburg and North Carolina, the couple will live in Butler.
