Sandbergs mark 60th anniversary
Mary and Maynard Sandberg, of Canby, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday, June 25, with a party given by their family following the 9:30 a.m. service at Zoar Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canby.
The couple were married June 30, 1946, at the First United Methodist Church in Oregon City.
Mary (Randall) Sandberg graduated from Canby High School and Maynard Sandberg from high school in Underwood, Iowa.
They met while Mary was attending Oregon State University and Maynard was stationed at Camp Adair, north of Corvallis.
The couple’s children are son Craig and wife Kathy of Penn Yann, NY; son Keith and wife Barb of Salem; daughter Marilyn and husband Rick of Tigard; son Kent and wife Annette of Albany; and son Kevin and his wife Isabel of El Paso, Texas.
The couple have nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
