Spoelstra anniversary

Harvey and Alice Spoelstra of Lynden celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a Mediterranean cruise in November 2003.

Their children will hold a family dinner and a no-gift open house in their honor on Saturday, Dec. 27, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Sumas Christian Reformed Church at Third Street and Sumas Avenue.

Harvey and Alice were married on Dec. 28, 1953 in Sumas Christian Reformed Church.

Their children are Alan Spoelstra of Tacoma, Adele and Cal Eshuis of Lynden, Joel and Gladys Spoelstra of Sumas and Joyce Spoelstra of Bellingham.

They have eight grandchildren.
