VanderZee anniversary
Ralph and Jeanette VanderZee of Lynden will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a cake reception at Bethel Christian Reformed Church after the morning worship service on Sunday, Dec. 14.
They were married at the conclusion of a Sunday evening worship service on Dec. 11, 1938 in South Holland, Ill.
Ralph was a truck farmer and then worked for the Bible League.
Jeanette was a homemaker and was involved with many volunteer ministries including Coffee Break, an interdenominational women's Bible study.
In 1988 they moved to Lynden.
Ralph is a Gideon.
He volunteers for Lynden Christian School, One to One Ministries, and Bethel CRC. Jeanette is in Garden Club, Poetry Club, and co-chairs a Bible study at Bethel CRC.
Their children are Vern and Ruth VanderZee of Miama, Fla., John and Sheryl DeJong of Reston, Va., Floyd and Laureen Leo of Sheboygan, Wis., and Les and Marcia Mulder of Lynden.
They have 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
