Lewis - 50th Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Jones of Fayetteville will celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary Nov. 26, 2003.
Mr. Jones served in the United States Army during the Korean War, but was stationed in Regensburg, Germany.
There he met his wife, Ingeborg Pohl.
She survived World War II, but she and her parents were driven out of their home in Breslau, Silesia toward the end of World War II and settled in Regensburg.
The couple were married in Knoxville, Tenn., in 1953.
Mr. and Mrs. Jones have a daughter, Renee, and son-in-law, Mark Dobbs, of Stockbridge, and a son, Robert, and daughter-in-law Kathy, and three grandchildren - Max, patrick and Allyson - all of Snellville.
The children are giving their parents a trip to Opryland in Nashville, Tenn., where they will celebrate the anniversary with them.
