Bethany Lane Stewman and Michael James Snyder exchanged wedding vows on April 26, 2003, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Buckhead-Atlanta. Rev. Charlie Crowe officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Stephen E. Stewman of Fayetteville.
She is the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Robert C. Dudley of Conyers, Mr. & Mrs. Loy H. Stewman of Sandy Springs, and the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Hazel C. Updike of Conyers.
The groom is the son of Mr. & Mrs. James K. Snyder of Warner Robins.
He is the grandson of Mrs. Florence Petroski and the late Frank Petroski of Warner Robins, and David Snyder and the late Gladys Snyder of Pennsylvania.
Amati Chamber Musicians presented the music for the ceremony. Nancy Noggle, soloist, sang There is Love and The Christian Wedding Prayer. Steve Stewman, father of the bride, accompanied Nancy on the guitar.
Given in marriage by her father and mother, the bride wore a white strapless wedding gown with crystals and silver embroidering.
Her headpiece was a crystal tiara with waist length veil.
Serving as honor attendants for the bride were Carrie Mann and Devon Chapman, friends of the bride, as co-maids of honor.
Bridesmaids were Michelle Bussey, Megan Davis, Summer Hatcher, Sarah James, and Michelle Paradis, all friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Cailah Cooney, daughter of Bethany and Mike’s cheerleading coach at West Georgia.
Brianna Dudley, cousin of the bride, and Kaitlyn Snyder, niece of the groom, were flower girls.
Mike chose his brother, Kenneth Snyder as his best man. Groomsmen were Eric Rutherford, cousin of the groom, David Stewman, brother of the bride, Chris Bohn, Bob Costa, Brad Davey, and Steve Leatherwood, friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Shane Mathis, cousin of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a dinner/dance reception in the Grand Ballroom of the hotel.
Attendant for the signature mat was Tori Mitchell, cousin of the bride. Jay Meier served as deejay.
The bride and groom chose The Hawaiian Wedding Song for their first dance. The bride and her father danced to The Way You Look Tonight, and the groom and his mother danced to As Time Goes By.
Several parties and showers honored the couple prior to the wedding. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Maggiano’s Little Italy Restaurant in Buckhead.
Following a honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean, the couple is residing in Acworth, Georgia.
