Bacci -- Carpenter
PERU -- Elizabeth K. Bacci and Michael H. Carpenter were married Sept. 13, 2008, in Valcour Educational Conference Center by the Honorable Kevin Patnode.
The ceremony was followed by a reception.
The bride is the daughter of Judy Utiger-Bacci of Corydon, Iowa; and Enea and Cathie Bacci of Clinton, Conn.
The bridegroom is the son of Barbara Carpenter of Plattsburgh, and Herbert and Mary Carpenter, also of Plattsburgh.
Heather Swiecicki of Scotia was matron of honor.
Best man was Shawn DelDuco of Seattle, Wash.
Bridesmaids were Carrie Carpenter of Plattsburgh and Laura Carpenter of Shrewsbury, Mass., sisters of the bridegroom; Alison Levine of Longmont, Colo., the bride's cousin; and Lynda Arms of Warwick.
Ushers were Tim Carpenter of Plattsburgh, brother of the bridegroom; Charlie McShane of Miami, Fla.; Michael Cahill of Willsboro and Justin Born of Plattsburgh.
Martha Gallagher was harpist.
Readings were by Brian Watts, Jan Kinne and Pat Seymour.
Elizabeth K. Carpenter attended Thousand Islands High School and graduated from Plattsburgh State with a bachelor's degree in sociology in 1999 and a bachelor's degree in social work in 2004.
She is the supported-housing program coordinator at Behavioral Health Services North.
Michael H. Carpenter graduated from Plattsburgh High School and attended Clinton Community College.
He is the president of the Northeast Group, a family owned business.
After a wedding trip to Ogonquit, Maine, the Carpenters reside in Peru.
The bride and bridegroom wrote their vows to personalize the ceremony.
They had a moment of silence in the beginning of the ceremony to honor their loved ones who had passed away and couldn't be with them.
