PLATTSBURGH — Amanda Yelle and Eric Pelkey were married May 16, 2009, in Plattsburgh Memorial Chapel by Sue Castine, justice of the peace.
The bride is the daughter of Clifford and Crystal Yelle of 1020 Slosson Road, West Chazy. The bridegroom is the son of David and Shelly Pelkey of 444 LaPlante Road, West Chazy.
Brittney Yelle of West Chazy, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Matron of honor was Amy-Jo Hart of Champlain, the bride's aunt. Jeremy Sherman of Plattsburgh, cousin of the bridegroom, was best man.
Bridesmaids were Jen Pelkey of Plattsburgh, the bridegroom's sister; Ashley Burdo of Plattsburgh; and Marah Bedard of West Chazy. Junior bridesmaid was Rayanne Davis of Beekmantown, cousin of the bride. Jordyn Cartier-Langlois of Altona, the bride's cousin, was flower girl.
Ushers were Clifton Yelle of West Chazy, brother of the bride; Darrel Spoor of Mooers; and Holden Laidmen and Ricky Cummings, both of Plattsburgh. Noah Steilgmen of Plattsburgh, the bridegroom's nephew, was ring bearer.
Readers were Cindie Goodrow and Debbie Langlois, both of West Chazy.
A reception was held at Beekmantown VFW Post 66.
Amanda Pelkey graduated from Beekmantown High School in June 2007 and CV-TEC in 2007 for cosmetology. She is a hair stylist at Master Cuts in Plattsburgh.
Eric Pelkey graduated from Beekmantown High School in 2002 and from CV-TEC in 2002 for forestry and conservation. He is a glazier at Adam's Glass in Plattsburgh.
After a wedding trip to Sanibel Island, Fla., the Pelkeys reside at 24 Pratt St., Rouses Point.
