KEESEVILLE — Janine Marie Kemp and Joshua Howard Turner were married on the front porch of their Keeseville home on Oct. 11, 2008, by the Hon. Kim Rennie.
The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Keeseville Elks Lodge.
The bride is the daughter of Donna Smith Kemp of Cadyville and Howard David Kemp II of Saranac.
The bridegroom is the son of Janet and Rodger Turner of Marietta, Ohio.
Jacqueline Kemp of Salt Lake City, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
Sister of the bridegroom, Kristie Turner, of Grove City, Ohio, was matron of honor.
Dave Manney of Beekmantown was best man.
The bridegroom's father, Rodger Turner, was an usher. Amy Larmon of Keeseville was vocalist. Readings were by Jacqueline Kemp and the bride's mother, Donna Kemp.
Janine Kemp is a substance abuse prevention counselor at Champlain Valley Family Center in Plattsburgh.
In addition, she is a dancer and teacher in classical ballet and modern dance, having gained her start at Guibord's School of Dance in Plattsburgh.
She graduated from Peru Central School and achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Skidmore College.
Joshua Turner is a counselor in the outpatient clinic at Champlain Valley Family Center. Additionally, he is a graduate of Outward Bound Climbing School and is a licensed rock climbing guide.
He graduated from Marietta High School and achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Ohio University in Athens.
After a stay at a friend's summer home on Lake Champlain, the couple resides in Keeseville.
They live with two cats and a below-average hunting dog, Shotgun Willie.
