Forgette — Lavalley
PERU — Melinda Forgette and Lee Lavalley were married Sept. 5, 2009, in St. Augustine's Church, Peru, by the Rev. Allen.
The bride is the daughter of Donna and Charles Forgette of Peru.
The bridegroom is the son of Kathleen and Lee Lavalley of Ellenburg Center.
Nicole Zerrahn of Laflure Lane was maid of honor.
Best men were Brad Labombard of Albany and Christen Lavalley of Ellenburg, brother of the bridegroom.
Bridesmaids were Tiffany Langley of Albany; Lindsay Francis of Plattsburgh and Michelle Forgette of Peru, sisters of the bride; Jennifer Lavalley of Plattsburgh, the bride's sister-in-law; Kasey Corrigan of Plattsburgh; and Robin Coolidge of Dannemora, cousin of the bridegroom. Flower girl was Hailey Francis of Plattsburgh, the bride's niece.
Ushers were Justin Lafountain of Beekmantown; Nicholas Lavalley and Benjamin Lavalley of Ellenburg Center, the bridegroom's brothers; Adam Coolidge of Dannemora; and Brad Malark of Fort Covington.
Ring bearer was Joseph Judge of Beekmantown, the bride's cousin.
Carole Forgette, Beth Rule and Kim Laselle read from the Bible.
A reception was held at Crickets in Peru.
Melinda Lavalley graduated from Peru Central in 2007. She is employed at CVPH Medical Center and plans to attend college for a nursing degree.
Lee Lavalley graduated from Northern Adirondack Central School in 2003, served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 2007. He is a security guard at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and he attends Clinton Community College for a criminal justice degree.
The Lavalleys reside on Route 11, Ellenburg Center. They are planning a wedding trip for the spring.
