PLATTSBURGH -- Bethany Defayette and David White were married June 7, 2008, in the Memorial Base Chapel on US Oval in Plattsburgh by the Rev. Steve Smith.
The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Deborah Defayette of 46 Lyons Road, Plattsburgh. The bridegroom is the son of Rodger and Sally White of Juniper Drive, Ballston Spa.
Courtney St. Pierre of Plattsburgh, sister of the bride, was matron of honor.
Best man was Kirk Guynup of Cadyville.
Bridesmaids were Laura Defayette of Plattsburgh, the bride's cousin; Alyssa Felio of Peru; and Christa White of Plattsburgh, sister of the bridegroom.
Flower girls were Jadyn Defayette of Ticonderoga, the bride's cousin; and Haeleigh Lange of Peru, cousin of the bride.
Ushers were Nick Tamer of San Diego, Calif., Todd Stone of Plattsburgh and Willie Harris of Pooler, Ga. Adam Kesselman of Newton, N.J., the bridegroom's nephew, was ring bearer.
A reception was held in the White Room at the Rainbow Banquet Hall, Altona.
Bethany White graduated from Clinton Community College in 2006 with an associate's degree in humanities and social sciences.
She attends Plattsburgh State for a degree in early childhood/childhood education and will graduate in December.
She is employed at Staples.
David White graduated from Saranac Central in 2000 and served in the U.S. Army.
He is a New York state correction officer.
After a wedding trip to Alexandria Bay, the Whites reside in Plattsburgh.
