WEST HARTFORD, Conn. -- Dr. Malisa Lynn Abraham and John Arthur Lahtinen were married June 16, 2007, in Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, West Hartford, Conn., by the Rev. John R. Yonkovig, pastor of Saint Peter's Church in Plattsburgh.
The Rev. Augustine Manealath performed a Syrian Catholic blessing at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Pullampallil and Achammakutty Abraham of West Hartford.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Lahtinen of Plattsburgh.
Julia Kane of West Hartford was maid of honor.
Best man was Derrick Aley of Albany, the bridegroom's brother-in-law.
Bridesmaids were Dr. Kristina Lahtinen-Aley of Albany, the bridegroom's sister; Dr. Ami Multani of Cleveland; and Dr. Manika Suryadevara of Syracuse.
Groomsmen were Jeremy Dubay of Ballston Spa, Casey Hager of Georgia, Vt., and Mark Abraham of South Norwalk, Conn., the bride's brother.
A reception was held at the Farmington Marriott in Farmington, Conn.
Dr. Malisa Lahtinen is a family physician in Cromwell, Conn.
John Lahtinen is Director of Publications at Yale Law School in New Haven, Conn.
The Lahtinens reside in Farmington.
