Mitchell -- Bamberger
WESTPORT -- Marie Ann Mitchell and Matthew Alan Bamberger were married Oct. 13, 2007, in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Westport, by the Rev. Peter Riani.
The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Ann Mitchell of Westport. The bridegroom is the son of Michael and Christine Bamberger of Indian Lakes Estates, Fla.
Katherine Morris was maid of honor. Best man was Aaron Bamberger, brother of the bridegroom.
Bridesmaids were Gretchen Bamberger of Raleigh, N.C., sister of the bridegroom; Azusa Homma of Tokyo, Japan; Amanda Garrow, Nicole Parkinson and Joanne Parkinson, all of Plattsburgh; Heidi Glover of Morrisonville, the bridegroom's cousin; Jessie Pepe of Keene; and Kim LaReau and Brittney Tacy, both of Ithaca. Flower girls were Madison and Gracie DelMedico, the bridegroom's cousins.
Ushers were Simon Mitchell of Westport, brother of the bride; Dale Brassard of Mineville, the bride's uncle; Clayton Grygiel of Frankfort, cousin of the bridegroom; Andrew Godin of Franklin, Vt.; Brian Schneible of Berne; Jason Bruce of Plattsburgh; Nathan Donaleski of Rome; Matthew Moses of New York; Christopher Cross of Plattsburgh; Nicholas Pepe of Keene; and Nicholas Orsini of Queensbury. Ring bearers were Gregory VanSteen, the bridegroom's nephew; and Johnny Glover, cousin of the bridegroom.
A reception was held at Camp Pok-O-MacCready.
Marie Bamberger graduated from high school in 2000 and Plattsburgh State in 2006, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and history and a master's degree in English secondary education. She is employed at Oneida High School.
Matthew Bamberger graduated from Holland Patent High School in 1999 and Plattsburgh State with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and a master's degree in history, secondary education. He is owner of Camroden Golf Course.
After a week-long camping and hiking trip in the Adirondacks, the Bambergers reside in Rome.
