Traviss - Stevens
Marcia Elaine Traviss and Timothy Mark Stevens were united in marriage on July 31, 2004, at 6 p.m. at Spiegel Farms in South Carolina.
The bride is the daughter of James Jay Traviss and Elizabeth B. Traviss of Winter Haven.
The groom is the son of Larry and Mary Frances "Sammie" Stevens of Boiling Springs, S.C.
Reverend Joe Dempsey officiated at the double ring ceremony.
Providing nuptial music for the wedding was Katherine Traviss, sister of the bride.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless, self-embroidered white satin gown with envelope-style waistline.
Her headpiece was a fingertip illusion veil accented with crystals and rhinestones.
She carried a bouquet of cascading white canna lilies, and white roses, accented with blue larkspur.
Serving as maid of honor was Katherine Traviss, sister of the bride from Charlotte, N.C.
Serving as bridesmaids were Mrs. Peter Duschene of Oak Harbor, Wash., Mrs. Chad Brenneman of Kissimmee and Mrs. Gary Reed of Winter Haven.
The attendants wore periwinkle blue Empire style gowns and carried nosegays of pink and white roses accented with larkspur.
Logan Stevens, niece of the groom, was the flower girl and Dillon Stevens, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer.
The groom's father, Larry Stevens, served as best man.
The groomsmen were Eric Stevens, brother of the groom; Gordan Ray; and Jason Rychlik.
The couple received guests at a reception hosted by the bride's parents at the open air pavilion at Spiegel Farms following the ceremony and at the home of the bride's parents in Winter Haven on Sept. 4.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple will reside in Boiling Springs, S.C.
The groom is employed as a tool and die maker with Bommer Industries.
The bride is employed as a physical therapist with Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.
