WEDDING

Erica Charlene Merritt and Robert Scott Clark

Erica Charlene Merritt and Robert Scott Clark were united at 5 p.m. March 27, 2004, at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Winter Haven.

The bride is the daughter of William and Jeanine Merritt of Winter Haven. The groom is the son of Evan and Margaret Pinther of Lake Wales and Craig and Brenda Clark of Winter Haven.

Pastor John Graham officiated at the double-ring ceremony. Providing nuptial music for the wedding were Mike Smith on organ and piano accompanied by his wife, Amy Smith, as vocalist. Later, Amber deChambeau sang during the lighting of the unity candle.

Given in marriage by her father, William T. Merritt, the bride wore a white A-line gown with silver accented bodice and single pleated skirt. Her headpiece was white and silver flowers accented with Swarovski crystals. She carried an array of different purple flowers with white roses.

Serving as maid of honor was Amanda Merritt, sister of the bride. Serving as bridesmaids were Cathy Carey, Kristin Doyle, Jennifer Youmans, Michelle Braun, and Renee Scalisi, all friends of the bride; Carolyn McCarthy, sister-in law; and Stephanie Deneault, cousin. The attendants wore Alfred Angelo dresses in violet and carried bouquets of a variety of purple flowers.

The bride's mother wore an amethyst colored gown with beaded bodice. The dress was highlighted by the white roses on her wrist. The groom's mother wore an ice blue gown with beaded jacket, along with a white rose wrist corsage.

Serving as best man was Aaron Ashley, a friend. Serving as groomsmen were Nick Parrish, Jason Smith, Derek Hall, Dave Schnegg, Adam Dicks, Dana Stewart and Sohail Salyani, all friends. The ushers were Morgan Lusk, Justin Brown, Stephen Koper and Jason McCarty.

The family received guests at Lake Ashton Golf Club in Lake Wales. Kathy Hitchcock attended the bride's book. Assisting with hospitalities were Sunny Cambron, on-site wedding coordinator.

After returning from a wedding trip Caribbean cruise, the couple will reside in Winter Haven.
