Jerry and Martha Briscoe of New London have announced the engagement of their daughter, Gayle Lynn Briscoe, to Jamie LeVille Simms.
He is the son of Tim and Tylia Hayden of Hannibal.
The prospective bride is a 1997 graduate of Mark Twain High School.
She earned a bachelor's degree in business administration in 2001 from Hannibal-LaGrange College and is employed by Wright Furniture.
The prospective bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Hannibal High School and is a route salesman for White Star Laundry.
The wedding is planned for 4:30 p.m. Sept. 29, at the Salt River Christian Church.
