Rogero - Bentley
Jeaniene Ann Marcia Rogero, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Rogero, of Jacksonville, and Raymond Owen "Bo" Bentley Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond O. Bentley Sr. of Winter Haven were married at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002.
Family and attendants at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Jacksonville witnessed their handwritten vows as the Rev. Ed Murphy officiated.
A special wedding song by Michael W. Smith was presented by Hunter Smith and Sarah Claire Smith of Winter Haven, friends of the family.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant, floor-length, strapless corseted candlelight gown with a beautifully beaded, brocade bodice, which laced her back with white satin ribbons. The satin A-line skirt gracefully fell in a chaplet train with double tails.
Her shoulder-length silk illusion bridal veil was accentuated by full-length white gloves. The single strands of ivory pearls given to her by her parents matched the luminous glow of white calla lilies and miniature dendrobium orchids and were blanketed by green ivy and satin ivory ribbons in her bridal bouquet.
Sarah Rogero served as her sister's maid of honor in a strapless satin gown of Victorian lavender also with a corset bodice and satin edging at the yoke, waist, and hemline of the A-line skirt.
She was followed by the Elizabeth Rogero, another sister of the bride, and Catie Bentley, sister of the groom, also in Victorian lavender. Also serving as bridemaids were Tricia Henson, cousin of the groom; Mrs. Brian Rogero, sister-in-law; Cathy Iglesias, a soon-to-be sister-in-law; and friends Jodi Crowley, Desiree Sackett and Michelle Alday.
Catherine Dunham and Amanda Tripp, the groom's cousins, served as junior bridesmaids and Mara Mulikin, the bride's cousin, served as the flower girl.
The groom's father, Raymond Bentley, served as best man. The groomsmen were Jon and Andrew Bentley, brothers of the groom, and Michael, Bryan, Mathew, and older twins Nathan and Jeremey Rogero, all brothers of the bride; and Mathew Sheffield and Hunter Smith. The bride's younger twin brothers Philip and Paul Rogero stood in as altar servers.
Guests assisting in the wedding preparations were: Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Bentley, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Bentley, Jason and Kyle Bentley, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bentley, Montigne, Robert and Blake Bentley, Mr. and Mrs. Squire Smith, Hunter and Sarah Claire Smith, Dr. and Mrs. Steve Dunham, Joe, John-David and Catherine Dunham, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tripp, J.T. and Amanda Tripp, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Sheffield, Mr. and Mrs. Mathew Sheffield, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Simonds, Joe and Luke Simonds, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Sackett, Brandon and Desiree Sackett, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Burns, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Baird, Tricia Henson, Chris Cuccia, Tony Lopez, and Jeremy Williams of Winter Haven.
A mid-afternoon reception followed at Champion's Club at Julington Creek in Jacksonville for family and friends and later that day, the couple left for a honeymoon voyage in the Caribbean.
The Bentleys will live in Winter Haven.
