McPherson - McManus
Shannon Marie McPherson and Gregory Patrick McManus were united in marriage at 3 o'clock in the afternoon on Oct. 20, 2001 at Calvary Baptist Church in Winter Haven.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. McPherson of Winter Haven.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff McManus of Minneapolis, Minn.
Rev. Richard Childs and Rev. Bill Eiwen officiated at the double-ring ceremony. Providing nuptial music for the wedding were Beverly Ramsey, organist; Patty Claussen, piano; K.C. Davidson, violin; Laura Greenberg, violin; Laura Lawson, viola; Michael Lawson, cello; Beth Childs, soloist and Ernie Camp, soloist.
Given in marriage by her father, Charles W. McPherson, the bride wore an original gown of candlelight organza. The bodice featured Viennese lace, pearls and crystals.
The cathedral train was of the same organza, lace and pearls.
Her veil of French silk illusion was held in place by pearls, lace and satin roses.
Serving as matron of honor was Stacy Kibbee, friend of the bride.
Serving as bridesmaids were Mia McKown, friend of the bride; Heather Alderman, college friend of the bride and Corinne McManus, sister of the groom.
The flower girl was Brittney Ball, friend of the bride.
Serving as best man was Coury Knowles, high school friend of the groom.
Serving as groomsmen were Jeff Trolano, friend of the groom; Douglas McPherson, brother of the bride and Jared Flournoy, college friend of the groom.
Ushers were Jeremy Rowe, childhood friend of the groom and Bret Marshall, friend of the groom.
The family received guests at Lake Region Yacht and Country Club in Winter Haven. Marty Metzl, cousin of the bride attended the bride's book.
After a wedding trip to Amelia Island and North Carolina, the couple will live in Lakeland.
The bride is employed as a Registered Dietitian at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
The groom is employed as a Programmer-Analyst with Publix Supermarkets, Inc.
