Wedding - Newsom-Cotton
Julia Marie Newsom and Jon Neil Cotton, of Fort Meade, were united in marriage Saturday, May 12, 2001, at Masterpeace Place in Lake Wales.
The bride is the daughter of Ken and Phyllis Newsom of Fort Meade.
The groom is the son of Jimmie and Susan Cotton of Fort Meade.
Serving as maid of honor was Cortney Newsom, and the bridesmaid was Deanna Newsom, both sisters of the bride.
The flower girl was Paige Belcher.
The best man was Jimmie Cotton, father of the groom.
Serving as groomsman was Skip Langston.
The ushers were Schuyler Newsom, Todd Anderson and Lance Gunter.
The ringbearer was Kaleb Hansen.
The bride graduated May 5 with a bachelor's degree in marketing.
She is employed with the Matrix Tech Group Inc., in Clearwater.
The bridegroom is attending Hillsborough Community College and is a member of the U.S. Coast Guard.
The honeymoon trip was kept a secret to the bride.
After the "secret" honeymoon, the bride and groom will make their home in Tampa.
