Mr. and Mrs. Derrel Bryan of Byron, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Darci Bryan of Bowling Green, to Jamie Orth of Bartow, son of Jim and Marsha Orth of Bartow.

She graduated from Hardee High School in 1993.
She also graduated from Florida State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in family child and consumer sciences.
She is employed by the Polk County School Board as a teacher at Bartow Senior High School.
The prospective bridegroom has lived in Bartow for 29 years.
He graduated from Bartow High School in 1989.
He attended Polk Community College and Tampa Art School and is involved with the Bartow Chamber of Commerce Leadership Bartow and Sons of the American Legion.
He is employed at Citrus & Chemical Bank in Bartow.
A June 30, 2001 wedding is planned at the Polk County Historical Museum 1908 Court Room.
