Hillary Susan Rathburn, daughter of David and Kim Rathburn of 308 VanAntwerp Road, Johnstown, was united in marriage to David Joseph Perry, son of Leo and Marcia Perry of 111 Perry Lane, Fonda, at 5 p.m. Oct. 26, 2002.
The ceremony took place at St. John's Episcopal Church, Johnstown. The Rev. William Small officiated.
The bride was escorted by her parents.
The maid of honor was Heather Rathburn of Glens Falls, sister of the bride.
The bridal attendants were Karin Nieto of Palm Harbor, Fla., Tatum Yacobucci of Sylvan Beach, Oneida and Patricia Hall of Troy, niece of the bridegroom.
The best man was Jeremy Campbell of Fort Hunter.
The ushers were Nathan Hayes of Melbourne, nephew of the bridegroom, Peter Buanno of Fort Johnson, nephew of the bridegroom, and Ryan Hayes of Fonda, nephew of the bridegroom.
Readings were done by Lynn Butler.
The following children, "kinder-chorus," all part of the bride and bridegroom's teaching career, sang "Aa You're Adorable:" Nicole Tobey, Cassandra Egelston, Brianna Slater, Alesha Sahler, Justin Galusha, Bryan Lafoe, Aidan Simonds, Meghan Herrick, Matthew Georgia, Travis Blair, Kimmy Wood, Kimberly Geniti, Zachary Shaw, Victoria Subik, Shawna Trigg, Heather Trasky, Tabitha Milano and Katie Gray.
A reception for 150 guests was conducted at Beardslee Castle in Little Falls.
The couple resides at 106 S. William St., Johnstown.
The bride is a graduate of the College of St. Rose in Albany. She is a kindergarten teacher at Fonda-Fultonville Elementary School.
The bridegroom is a senior at the College of St. Rose. He is working on his degree in elementary education.
