elissa Allison Hurd, daughter of Nick and Belynda Javarone Jr. of Ballston Lake and George and Vincie Hurd of Gloversville, was united in marriage to David Sherman Rich II, son of David and Lynn Rich Sr. of Schenectady, at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 9, 2004.
The ceremony took place at the Church of Latter-day Saints, Gloversville. President Mathew Rasmussen officiated.
The bride was escorted by her parents, George Hurd and Belynda Javarone.
The matron of honor was Melanie Delaney of Ballston Lake, sister of the bride. The bridal attendants were Tina Davy of Buena Park, Calif., and Genevieve Rich of California, sister of the bridegroom. The flowergirls were Reagan Delaney of Ballston Lake, niece of the bride, and Madelynn Taylor of Idaho, niece of the bridegroom.
The best man was Christopher Eaton of Johnstown. The ushers were Jeffrey Miller of Santa Barbara, Calif., Joel Farrer of Provo, Utah. The ringbearer was Kaden Taylor of Idaho.
A reception for 185 guests took place at Vincenza's Banquet House, Gloversville.
The wedding trip was a Caribbean cruise to Belize.
The couple resides in Huntington Beach, Calif.
The bride attended Gloversville High School and Long Island University.
The bridegroom attended Johnstown High School and Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah.
