STEUBENVILLE - Heidi Bickerstaff and Jeffrey Tarr were married on Oct. 19, 2002, at St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Pittsburgh. Monsignor George Yontz from St. Peter's Catholic Church in Steubenville performed the 1 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of David and Vicki Bickerstaff of Steubenville.
The groom is the son of John and Carolyn Tarr of Allison, Pa.
Alice Gaughan of Columbus, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Holly Deitch of Monroeville, Pa., cousin of the bride; Theresa Zirillo of East Liverpool, aunt of the bride; Leslie Goldman of Chicago and Amy Martin of Columbus, Ohio, cousin of the groom.
John Bakewell of Vestagburg, Pa. was the best man. Ushers were Edward Gaughan, of Columbus, brother-in-law of the bride; Jeff Fetty of Brownsville, Pa., Gary Morando and Steve Smith, both of Washington, D.C.
Cousins of the groom, Marra Martin and Angelo Martin III, of Allison served as flower girl and ring bearer.
The reception was held at the Sheraton Station Square in Pittsburgh.
The couple honeymooned in Las Vegas.
The bride is a graduate of Ohio State University with a bachelor of science, bachelor of arts and a master of public health degree.
She is employed by the American Red Cross, national headquarters, as an evaluation associate.
The groom is a graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor of science degree. He is an investigator with the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
They are living in the Washington, D.C., area.
