WINTERSVILLE - Shannon Beatty and Brian Johnson were united in marriage June 26, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Monsignor Gerald Calovini officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Gloria Beatty of Wintersville. The groom is the son of Thomas and Jennifer Johnson of Canton.
Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride chose an ivory satin gown embellished with silver beads and Swarovski crystals. She carried a bouquet of roses and mini cala lilies.
Tara DiLoretta served as matron of honor and Mindi Ubrin as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Julia Beadling, Lori Stayer, sister of the groom, Melinda Kaczmarek, Kelly Schneider and Samantah Orbin.
Dan Pavmier served as the best man. Ushers were Michael Betz; Kris Salby; Scott Stayer, brother-in-law of the groom; Shawn Beatty, brother of the bride; Joe DiLoretta; and Joshua Seminara, cousin of the bride.
Niece of the groom, Lauren Stayer, was flower girl.
The reception was held at the ballroom at the Mountaineer Race Track and Gaming's resort in Chester.
The newlyweds honeymooned on a Caribbean cruise.
They are residing in Louisville.
The bride is a 1994 graduate of Indian Creek High School and a 1999 graduate of Kent State University. She holds a master's degree in reading specialization and is a third-grade teacher in Ravenna.
The groom is a 1994 graduate of Jackson High School in Canton and a 1999 graduate of Kent State University. He holds a master's degree in curriculum and instruction. He is a second-grade teacher in Perry.
