Hayes - Pate
WINTERSVILLE - Kacey M. Hayes and Matt J. Pate were united in marriage June 4, 2005, aboard a yacht, off the coast of Newport Beach, Calif. Robert Foster officiated for the 6 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Melvin Hayes of Wintersville and the late Wendy Griffen Hayes.
The groom is the son of John and Cindy Pate of Weirton.
Escorted by her father, the bride chose a charmeuse white gown with a cut-out back and rhinestone straps.
Lindsay Hayes of Aliso Viejo, Calif., sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Pate of Huntington Beach, Calif., sister-in-law of the groom; Heidi Foster of Aliso Viejo, and Kameron and Kandace Haga of Weirton, cousins of the groom.
Jim Pate of Huntington Beach served as his brother's best man. Ushers were Jordan Pate of Huntington Beach and Clayton Pate of Weirton, brothers of the groom; Jacob Butto of Huntington Beach, cousin of the groom; and Philip Grout of Dana Point, Calif.
Amber Lynn of Huntington Beach was the flower girl.
Daniel Hayes of Wintersville, cousin of the bride, was the ringbearer.
The reception was held aboard the boat.
The couple took a wedding trip to the Bahamas, Nassau and St. Lucia.
They are making their home in Aliso Viejo.
The bride is a senior underwriter at Lending Tree.
The groom is a graduate of the Art Institute of Southern California with a bachelor's degree in computer science. He is a senior mortgage broker for Lending Tree.
