Cindy and Stevens Plowman of Hannibal have announced the engagement of their daughter, Amelia Valley Plowman, to Neil Edward Johnson.
He is the son of Jerry and Janet Welch of Hannibal.
The prospective bride is a 2001 graduate of Hannibal High School and plans to graduate in May 2005 from Hannibal-LaGrange College with a major in human services.
She is employed as a teller at Farmers & Merchants Bank and is head swim coach of the Hannibal Hurricanes Swim Team.
The prospective bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of Hannibal High School and is currently studying for a degree in fire science at John Wood Community College.
He is employed as a fireman by the Hannibal Fire Department and is manager of American Blind and Shade Manufacturing.
The wedding is planned for 1 p.m. May 28, 2005, at St. John Lutheran Church in Hannibal.
