Grandparents of the couple are Max and Judith Nelson, Bethany, Mo., Theresa Wiederholt, Stanberry, Mo., the late Eugene Wiederholt, Richard and Rosa Lee Whitmer, Wilson, Sally Frank, Hays, and the late Robert Frank.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Honor attendant was Amber Barratt, friend of the bride. Attendants were Rebecca Whitmer and Samantha Whitmer, sisters of the groom.
Best man was John Whitmer, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Tyler Nelson, brother of the bride, and William Frank, uncle of the groom.
Ushers were Brandon Frick, friend of the groom, Garrett Nelson, cousin of the bride, Tony Nelson, uncle of the bride, Ryan Rounkles, cousin of the groom, and Michael Whitmer, uncle of the groom.
Candlelighters were Bonnie McRae and Abigail Staab, cousins of the groom.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Hays High School, a 2009 graduate of Fort Hays State University and a graduate student at FHSU in school psychology. She is a children's counselor at KVC Behavioral Hospital.
The bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of Thomas More Prep-Marian High School and is attending FHSU. He is a personal assistant at Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas.
Following a wedding trip to Denver, the newlyweds are at home in Hays.
