Jim and Alice Stramel, Hays, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Thanksgiving weekend with a family reunion at the Carol Joy Holling Lutheran Retreat Center in Ashland, Neb.
Children of the couple are Susan Anderson and husband, Claude, Basehor; Dean Stramel and wife, Janet, Manhattan; Terry Dennis and husband, Scott, Urbandale, Iowa; Glen Stramel and wife. Nancy, Hays; Jean Stramel, Viola, Wis.; Amy Sanchez and husband, Robert, Kansas City, Mo.
The couple have seven grandchildren, Bethany Jensen and husband, Jordan, Clive, Iowa; Matt Dennis, Urbandale; Anna and Luke Stramel, Manhattan; Todd and Grant Stramel, Hays; and Silas Ebbert, Viola. The couple have two step-grandchildren, Tracy Ward, Manhattan, and Joshua Carlton and wife, Danee, Buckeye, Ariz. The couple have two great-grandsons, Spencer Jensen, Clive, and Callen Dennis, Urbandale, and one step great-granddaughter, Addison Carlton, Buckeye.
Jim and Alice (Gosser) Stramel were married Dec. 18, 1950, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hays.
Their children and families would like to invite friends and family to an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 18 in the fellowship hall at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hays.
