Charles and Jeannette Augustine, Ellis, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary June 5 with a surprise reception hosted by their children from 2 to 4 p.m. at Ellis Public Library Community Room.
Children of the couple are Michael Augustine and wife, Jennifer, Topeka, Michelle Goldsberry and husband, Craig, Springfield, Mo., and Jessica Augustine and fiance, Jason Stegman, Manhattan.
The couple have four grandchildren, Samantha, Emily, and Nathaniel Augustine, and Cale Goldsberry.
Charles and Jeannette (Herl) Augustine were married June 6, 1970, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis.
