Norbert Jr. and Sharon Schmeidler, Wichita, formerly of Hays, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on April 17, 2010, with a Mass at 5 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, followed by reception hosted by their children and grandchildren at Gella's, 117 E. 11th, Hays.
He is a retired Campus High School teacher and Bombardier International sales executive. She is a retired Boeing dispatcher and now enjoys traveling and spoiling their grandchildren.
Children of the couple are Norbert Schmeidler III and wife, Jennifer, Switzerland; Christine Dewitt and husband, Robert, Overland Park; Catherine Stepp-Pratt and husband, Mark, Carolyn Osburn and Cheryl Schmeidler, all of Wichita.
The couple have 11 grandchildren, Emma, Norbert IV, Martin and Joshua Schmeidler, Switzerland; Robert III and Emily DeWitt, Overland Park; and Ashley and Courtney Osburn, Kelsey and Ryan Stepp and Lauren Schmeidler, all of Wichita.
Norbert Schmeidler and Sharon Moyer were married April 18, 1960, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays.
