Larry and Florence Goetz
Larry and Florence Goetz, Park, celebrated their 50th anniversary at the wedding of their granddaughter Rachel Goetz to Ty Wilson in Ottawa. Rachel and Ty selected their wedding date, Sept. 6, in honor of her grandparents, who were married in 1958 on the same date.
As part of a surprise celebration, Larry and Florence renewed their vows at the wedding and then enjoyed a day of family visiting and games hosted by their children at the Pfizenmaier farm in Ottawa.
A second honeymoon trip is planned to Branson, Mo., with Florence's brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Myrna Hartman, who also celebrated their 50th anniversary this year.
Children of the couple are Cynthia Stone and husband, Greg, and Brenda Pfizenmaier and husband, Bill, all of Ottawa, Cheryl Renz and husband, Shelton, Hays, Keith Goetz, Hutchinson, and the late Randy Goetz. They have 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Larry Goetz and Florence Hartman were married Sept. 6, 1958, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Grainfield.
