Cotton-McFarlin
Mr. and Mrs. Dean Cotton of Fayetteville announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Sandra Ruth Cotton, to Joshua Scott McFarlin, son of Mr. and Mrs. William McFarlin Jr., also of Fayetteville.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Cotton of Amherst, Ohio, and Wayne Baus and the late Mrs. Anne Baus of Elyria, Ohio.
She graduated from Fayette County High School in 1999 and attended North Georgia College and State University.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Bobby Estes and the late William McFarlin of Kaufman, Texas, and Walter Pettigrew and the late Mrs. Bettye Pettigrew, also of Kaufman, Texas.
He is a 1996 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2000 graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.
He is currently employed as a teacher at Sherwood Christian Academy in Albany.
The wedding will be Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000, at New Hope Baptist Church, South Campus, in Fayetteville.
Following a honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will reside in Albany.
