Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Young announce the marriage of their daughter, Laurana Shea, to Fred Atwood, son of Mrs. Louise Gustin of Claremont, Calif.
The wedding was Aug. 5, 2000, at the Fayetteville Train Depot.
The Rev. Gale Davis conducted the ceremony.
A reception was held at the Depot following the ceremony and the bride's parents hosted a party for family and out-of-town guests later that evening.
Stephanie Young, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor.
Mary Nixon served as matron of honor and her daughter, Sarah, served as bridesmaid. Madison Whitehead, daughter of the bride, served as flower girl.
Dick Atwood of Fort Worth, Texas, brother of the groom., was best man. Other attendants of the groom were Scott Earl of Glendora, Calif. and Darren Hartkopf of Pomona, Calif.
Out-of-town guests attending the event were Dan and Lindalee Pincus of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; John and Sandy Harmon of Chino, Calif.; Rick and Colleen Wooby of Bluffton, S.C.; Dean Young of Port Charlotte, Fla.; William and Louise Gustin of Claremont, Calif.; Scott and Brigette Earl of Glendora, Calif.; Becky, Eric and Bryan Jacobs of Fort Worth, Texas; Dave and Jo Colclough of Claremont, Calif.; Matt, Nancy and Mark Jacobs of Bloomington, Calif.; and Brandy Jacobs of Bloomington, Calif.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford H. Hancock of Fayetteville and the late Mr. and Mrs. John D. Langham of Barboursville, W.V. She graduated from East Anchorage High School, Anchorage, Alaska, and attended Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. She is an accountant with Brown, Nelms and Company in Fayetteville.
The groom is the grandson of the late George Zehner and Mrs. Vera Zehner of Ashland, Ohio. He graduated from Don Antonio High School in Chino, Calif. and attended Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. He is a senior project manager with Orion Meetings and Events, Inc.
Following a honeymoon in Tennessee, the couple is residing in Fayetteville.
