Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hooper of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Julia Kathleen Hooper, to Robert Scott Stone, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Stone of Fayetteville.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in elementary education.
She is employed as a first grade teacher at Trinity Christian School in Sharpsburg.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Stone of Fayetteville, Cecil Prescott of Memphis, Tenn., and the late Orline Prescott of Carrollton, Ala.
He graduated from Fayette County High School and received a degree in communications from the University of Alabama.
He is currently employed as a teacher at J.C. Booth Middle School in Peachtree City.
The wedding will be Oct. 14, 2000, at the First Baptist Church of Peachtree City.
Following a honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, the couple will reside in Peachtree City.
