SHELBY, N.C. Don and Mary Orgen of Cherryville, N.C., formerly of Odessa, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 6, 2007 with a Mass of Thanksgiving at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shelby, N.C., hosted by their children, son-in-law, Rick Chastain, and daughter-in-law, Eileen Orgen.

Mary Queally married her husband Oct. 5, 1957, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in New York City.

They have four children: Donna Zimnowski, Deb Chastain and Chris Orgen, all of Charlotte, N.C., and Patrick Orgen of Winchester, Va. They have 10 grandchildren.

Don Orgen retired as a chemical engineer from Huntsman after 23 years of service.

Mary Orgen retired as a schoolteacher from New York and owner of Temporary Office Personnel in Odessa after six years of service.
