Clyde “Jim” and Janet Marler of Kermit celebrated their 40th anniversary Aug. 4, 2007 with a reception at Villa Fontana Club House in Odessa hosted by her sister, Diedra Reed, her children and a daughter-in-law, Sara Marler.
Janet Reed married her husband Aug. 5, 1967, at First Baptist Church in Monahans with the Rev. Francis Wilson officiating.
They have two children: Brett Marler of Austin and Colby Marler of Midland. They have three grandchildren.
Jim Marler is employed by Cimarex Energy Cop. Janet Marler retired from the Kermit Independent School District after 30 years of service.
